North of Commerce City near Denver International Airport territory, Buffalo Run is a jaunt to get to and to find, especially with all the construction going on throughout the city, but it is a find well worth the hassle. As DIA was opening, Buffalo Hills Golf Course was greening its fairways in preparation for the debut of Buffalo Hills Ranch, a covenant controlled, 3,200 acre master-planned residential community near Denver International Airport. Direcly north is Barr Lake State Park; Second Creek flows through the community and will become a pleasant open space corridor. It's the Center of Town Buffalo Hills Ranch will have its own town center and two E-470 interchanges. Its location will make it a focal point of community development spawned by DIA, E-470, and expanding northern suburb development.
